As I gaze with wonder at the precious Judaica items laid out before me, I notice others holding similar gaze in awe and wonderment while we listen to the highly knowledgeable Geri Durbin guide us through the history and traditions of these special objects. This was the scene at a recent behind-the-scenes outing to the ROM with our HBTogether Art and Culture small group.
My membership has afforded me the opportunity to not only feel part of a community, through Sisterhood and various other committees but also to give back as leader of this special group of HBT members. We have shared special varied cultural experiences and created memories as our friendships have bloomed. It has been wonderful to observe these mutual connections forming through our common interest in art and culture. Our Art and Culture small group has become a community inside our thriving community. I’m so appreciative of this group! We have already experienced so much together, and there is much more to come. My membership makes this possible.
