Thank you so much to all of the families to came out for our sukkah decorating family program! The students and their parents learned the different rules for building a sukkah, and built their own out of paper, leaves and twigs. Afterward, the Grade 3s all pitched in to make a beautiful felt and yarn leaf garland to decorate the Temple sukkah. We finished off the morning making cookie batter for Ve’ahavta. We mentioned that Sukkot is not only about taking care of our own family, but also worrying about the community. Ve’ahavta is an organization that is concerned about our city’s homeless population We made cookies that will go on the vans this week. Students celebrated Sukkot by taking their decorations outside and enjoying a pizza lunch! See you back here in two weeks on October 15th!
