November 10, 2013 – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Room 209.

With Jennifer Samara Shuber and Rabbi Jordan Helfman.

Rabbi Helfman will begin the session with an overview of practical family law in a Reform Jewish framework.

Jennifer Samara Shuber will then continue by dispelling popular family law myths and misconceptions.  She will give information on family law topics that apply to everyday life.

Just as we strive to educate our children of dangerous myths, we ourselves need to be reminded that television dramas are divorced from the Canadian reality regarding family law.

Come to learn the facts.

Our discussion will cover topics including how to protect an inheritance, what it means to be common-law, steps to secure a Get and decision-making after separation.

Join us for the next session in our Parent Education Series Putting Away the iPad, Bring out the Pots and Pan! Play Strategies for Toddlers and PreschoolersDecember 15, 2013
