If you haven’t seen David Brooks’ NYT column of this past Friday, you should. It may be the most interesting, or at least the most offbeat, take on the Jeremy Lin phenomenon.
The phenomenon, according to Brooks, being not Lin’s from out of nowhere hot streak for the Knicks the past ten games, and not the fact that he’s Asian-American — but rather his religiosity. And Brooks, who seems to appreciate religion (he’s a mildly observant but curious about Judaism Jew), is one of the few in the media not stupid about religion.
