Shabbat Morning: Origin and discipline of German Ashkenaz tradition.

The Sahbbat in which we read (chant) the Song of Moses (Exodus Ch 15) sung at the crossing of the Red Sea is celebrated across the world with special emphasis on Synagogue liturgical music. This year the weekend of February 3 and 4, 2012 will be dedicated to Chasidism and its passion on Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat.

Shabbat Morning Sermon In Song will highlight the origin of our German Jewish Tradition of Berlin, Vienna and Frankfurt

  • Lecture: The Golden Voices of the German Cantors and their Music
    Musical illustrations and recordings dating back to the beginning of the 20th century.
