Young Families Circle

Because each family is unique…

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new membership model for young families whose oldest child is 8 or younger.

Based on Terumah – “Gifts from the Heart” – this personalized approach to membership lets each family determine a membership contribution that works for them. And just like all Temple membership contributions, you can make them on a monthly basis and receive a full tax receipt.

Start young! We make it easy to have fun and meaningful Jewish experiences with your little ones – simply come and we’ll do the rest:

  • Join us for Family First Fridays, Tot Shabbat, Shabbat morning Family Services, Little Blossom’s young family Havdalah evenings. Services your kids will love.
  • Sunday morning religious school with educational stories, music and arts and crafts. Hands-on Mitzvah Day and Kids’ Mitzvah Club, and more.
  • Learn with our Parent Education Program “PEP” talks and join Chavurot to “do Jewish” with a small group of other young families.
  • High Holy Day tickets for the whole family
  • Members’ pricing for programs like Little Blossoms and our Youth Education Centre
  • and much, much more!

Join our vibrant community of young families just like yours, led by Rabbis with young families of their own.

Young Families Membership FAQs

Young families are invited to contribute at a level that works for their unique situation. We trust you to determine your financial contribution in a manner that strikes a balance between sustaining our congregation and considering your personal circumstances.

Families can opt to make a sustaining contribution, the financial contribution per family needed to fund the annual budget (currently $3225 for a two-adult household, or $1895 for a one-adult household), or a Terumah contribution. Many families contribute 2% of their gross income.

Our community prides itself on fiscal responsibility. Membership contributions form 54% of our annual revenues – and go a long way in allowing us to continue to operate high-quality programs, engaging worship opportunities, and helping us to create meaningful community.

No, there is no minimum contribution. Our program is designed to help you contribute to Temple in a way that strikes a balance between sustaining our congregation and taking into account each family’s unique financial circumstances

Once you become a member, our talented staff specializing in young families are available to guide your participation in congregational life. We hope that, together, you will discover deeper meaning and a greater sense of purpose in the community.
