The Holy Blossom Temple Student and Young Professionals Engagement Portal
[email protected] is our new engagement portal for 19-30 year olds. It’s about building relationships with our community of students and young professionals.
This program has been created to invite young adults between ages 19 and 30 to become members of Holy Blossom at an affordable rate. Thanks to generous donors to the Holy Blossom Congregational Appeal, we are able to offer membership at Holy Blossom Temple from no cost to low cost for those under 30, including a 10% discount for those in committed relationships.
As part of this initiative, our members 19 and older will need to register for their own memberships (including High Holy Day tickets).

I am not for myself, who will be? If I am only for myself, what am I? If not now, when? – Pirkei Avot 1:13
If I am not for myself, who will be?
Demand more from your Jewish community. Our Holy Blossom Temple community should support you wherever you are in life – be it through networking, meeting other young professionals and students, through Israel experiences, or through nourishing your Jewish mind and spirit.
If I am only for myself, what am I?
As a Jewish community, we must tackle issues such as gender equality, human rights issues in Israel, environmentalism and sustainability. Holy Blossom Temple’s student and young professional communities provide organized opportunities to bring our world closer to the ideal. From sustainability projects to soup making for the homeless to education around Aboriginal issues and even building homes with Habitat for Humanity, join us in bringing Jewish values to life.
If not now, when?
Your donation to Holy Blossom Temple maintains your membership in our community with all of its benefits, including High Holy Day tickets and access to our clergy. Your membership supports our ongoing programs to contribute to Israel, the Jewish community, and the world. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to make the Jewish Future come to life!

[email protected] provides a framework for our relationship with you. Within that framework, we will provide a variety of programs and opportunities for students and young professionals up to age 36. Some of these programs might be of greater interest to those just finishing high school while some might be of interest to young couples. Other programs might appeal to a wide group. The opportunities will be diverse so that you can chose to particulate in whatever opportunities are most relevant to you.
Our Young Professionals Program provides programs that are sufficiently diverse to offer “something for everyone” in their 20s and 30s. FAQ for Parents
[email protected] will help us get to know each young member as an individual, and to help us engage with them to ensure that we are providing the programs and opportunities that are meaningful to them as young Jewish adults.
The initiative has been developed through consultation with many students and young professionals, and reflects their perspectives.
The new approach will enable the Temple to establish stronger ties with your children as young adults, and to keep them directly informed about our ongoing young professionals programming. In turn, they will be making an adult commitment to continue their involvement, and having the experience of giving tzedakah (since their payment is a contribution for which we will issue a tax receipt). When they personally register, we will also be able to connect directly with them and keep them informed of our ongoing young professionals programming.
We want to build our relationship with your children as young adults, recognizing that they are old enough to make their own decisions, and treating them with independence. Our online registration system makes it extremely easy for young people to make their own arrangements.
We have designed the [email protected] program after consulting with a number of young people to meet the needs of this cohort with minimal hurdles to participate. We believe this will result in more young people staying involved in the synagogue community than has been the case under the old model.
