Side By Side with Charles Pachter on the occasion of our 160th anniversary

Wednesday, April 26, 2017
7:30 p.m.

Please join us for a Gala Cocktail party with wine, hors d’oeuvres, coffee and dessert. Enjoy your opportunity to hear and to meet Charles Pachter, to watch videoed interviews about our beloved Heinz Warschauer, to reminisce over confirmation and other photos from that era and generally to have a great time greeting old and new members and friends.

Charles Pachter, acclaimed Canadian artist and former Temple student, is donating a painting called Side by Side in honour of his parents Sara and Harry Pachter. Sara led many trips to Israel, engendering a love of that land in all who accompanied her. Charles’ painting, which shows the twinning of the Canadian and Israeli flags and marks the close ties which bind our two countries, is a fitting symbol on the occasion of our 160th anniversary.

Mazel Tov and great appreciation to Charles Pachter and his generous donation of “Side By Side”, his first painting of the Canadian and Israeli flags, in honour of his parents, on the occasion of Holy Blossom’s 160th anniversary! What an exquisite, meaningful addition to the renovated space.

Thank you to the wonderful “Side by Side” Committee for all of your hard work to make this a beautiful celebration.

I have had the privilege of being a friend of Charlie’s since our growing up summers on Lake Simcoe.
And continue to celebrate his great accomplishments and national and international honours!
