In the interim heights of these Days of Awe, we ought to reflect on what lifts our souls, soothes our minds and is reflective in our lives. In the midst of the holiest of days, we need to be cognizant of the forces of music which help us through and gives us hope to move forward and live the best we can for ourselves and our loved ones.
Close to home here at our Temple community of Holy Blossom, it is the “SACRED SOUNDS” of our choirs and the message of music they deliver religiously throughout the year on Shabbat, Festivals and High Holy Days. With passion and dedication in spirit and body we witness and benefit from the presence of our choirs. Their voices lift up our spirits and help us reach higher spheres we could not reach otherwise. As your Hazzan for all these long blessed years, I could not have reached my musical goals without the help, assistance and consistency of our Temple Singers and Temple Choir. The power of their sacred sounds are the breath of life and a universal message of hope and peace.
We are so grateful to each and every member of our choirs and pray for their continued health, vigor and determination for many years to come. It is in this spirit that we are dedicating and honoring our choirs with a Kiddush luncheon on the First Day of Sukkot, Thursday, October 5, 2017 immediately after our festival service. Please come and celebrate this occasion in the life of our congregation.
We also want to celebrate honor and thank each and every member of our two “NEGINAH BANDS” Which enhance so often our Friday night KABBALAT SHABBAT services.
I would also like to personally take this opportunity and invite any one of you dear congregants, who love music and is inspired by music, to come and join the ranks of Temple Singers and our NEGINAH BAND if you play a musical instrument. Young, old, middle age, any one is invited. I promise you will have fun as we prepare some exciting musical events for the coming season.

“Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.”
“Music is the strongest form of magic.”
“Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence.”
“Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.”
