In education, stories
img_1973Many thanks to everyone who attended the program on the Golden Age of Jewish Television on Wednesday night, October 21, 2016, sponsored by the Holy Blossom Centre for Arts and Culture. We’d also like to extend a special thank you to our incredible guests: Stuart Hands, Programming Director of the Toronto Jewish Film Festival, and Jack Kuper, artist, actor, filmmaker, author and playwright, from which the second film, Sun In My Eyes, was adapted.

The lecture and screening were followed by a lively Q&A with Stuart and Jack, about Jewish television pioneers in the CBC’s early years.

Your attendance on the night of the Blue Jays game and the Presidential Debate was especially appreciated!

I hope you will join us for our next program, ‘China and the Zionist Project‘ on November 22, when our Guest-Lecturer Dr. Margo Hurwitz, will be on hand to discuss the important role that China played in the birth of Israel Statehood, as well the continuing development of Sino-Jewish relations.
